Happy Birthday Lovie!

Today my lovie is turning the big 30! This birthday is such a blessing for us. When Gable was battling cancer and almost lost, he said that he didn't think he was going to ever see the age 30. Well praise the LORD he is healthy and celebrating his birthday.

As I am sure y'all know that I am totally smitten by him. Gable is the ideal husband. A true gift from God that has blessed my life. He is my rock, best friend, spiritual leader of our household. I am so thankful for him.

Happy Birthday to my sweet hubby!

Five WONDERFUL Years!

5 years ago today I walked down the aisle to an acoustic guitar playing Be Thou My Vision, As my father gave me away to the man of my dreams. We said our vows, had our first communion as a couple, poured our sand for the sand ceremony, and had the best first kiss a married woman could have. Gable and I become one!

The rest of the day was incredible! My daddy and Momma gave us a true celebration with the people we loved the most. If you were in the room you could feel the LOVE and happiness! We were given the best speeches from the Best Man (Gable's brother), From the bottom of my heart to the top of my heart! The Maid of Honor (my beautiful sissy), Amy found her true love when she met Jeff.

I can honestly not believe that we have been married for five years! I am so thankful that I found my mate at the age of 18 and married him at 21. He is the prefect person for me to spend the rest of my life with.

Gable

Thank you for always being there for me. Giving me encouragement when I needed it most. Loving the LORD more then me and in return being a better soul mate for it. Leading our family (me and the furr babies) on this incredible journey that the Lord has laid out for us. I am so Honored to be called Mrs. Jeff Gable. I know you will be a remarkable father to our future kids.

Always remember Steady As We Go!

I love you!!!!!

The Mayo Clinic visit

I am sorry that I am just now updating everyone about our Mayo visit.

The news we received was not bad or good. Jeff's lymph nobes are the same side as last year. That is the not bad or good thing. The bad part of it, is he still has that chance that they can grow. The good part is that they have not grown.

Jeff and I have faith that everything will work out. We have so much trust in Dr. Smallridge, and the care that Mayo Clinic Jacksonville gives us. The God is good all the time!

Thank you for your prayers!!!

Why today is my Friday

After J and I get off work we are driving to Jacksonville. Now if you have read my blog for awhile y'all know that my amazing husband has had cancer. So every year we go to the Mayo Clinic for two days so J can get tested.

Last year we didn't have the best of news. So this year we are hoping the lumps are smaller and he does not have to have surgery to remove anything. I will keep everyone posted on how things are going.

Please keep us in your prayers!

Dancing in the Minefields

My sweet husband sent this song to me and said this was written for us. I listened to the song and I have to agree!

J and I got engaged when I just turned 20 years old. And he just turned 24 and graduated from college. After he proposed just about everyone (besides my parents, sister and his sister) told me we were to young to get married. That we didn't know if we were really meant for each other. All J and I knew was that God had placed each other together. We have the same beliefs on many different things, and a smile whenever we would see each other. I knew I was his Help Meet. So to make everyone happy we had an engagement for 11 months (we only wanted to be engaged for 4 months). On November 4, 2006 I married my best friend, sould mate, Help Meet, and LOVE. I am so blessed that I found my prince charming at a young age. I am truly spending my life with the perfect husband.

Well I was 19 you were 21
The year we got engaged
Everyone said we were much to young
But we did it anyway
We got the rings for 40 each from a pawnshop down the road
We said our vows and took the leap now 15 years ago

Chorus:
We went dancing in the minefields
We went sailing in the storm
And it was harder than we dreamed
But I believe that’s what the promise is for

Well ‘I do’ are the two most famous last words
The beginning of the end
But to lose your life for another I’ve heard is a good place to begin
Cause the only way to find your life is to lay your own life down
And I believe it’s an easy price for the life that we have found

Chorus:
And we’re dancing in the minefields
We’re sailing in the storm
This is harder than we dreamed
But I believe that’s what the promise is for
That’s what the promise is for

Bridge:
So when I lose my way, find me
When I lose loves chains, bind me
At the end of all my faith
to the end of all my days
when I forget my name, remind me

Cause we bear the light of the son of man
So there’s nothing left to fear
So I’ll walk with you in the shadow lands
Till the shadows disappear
Cause he promised not to leave us
And his promises are true
So in the face of all this chaos baby
I can dance with you

Chorus:
So lets go dancing in the minefields
Lets go sailing in the storms
Oh lets go dancing in the minefields
And kicking down the doors
Oh lets go dancing in the minefields
And sailing in the storms
Oh this is harder than we dreamed
But I believe that’s what the promise is for
That’s what the promise is for

Update on my husband!

So the past couple of months have been a roller coaster. Every time we think Jeff is OK something else happens to him. My sweet husband asked me not to say to much about what is going on with him, but he did say I can tell you guys this. When we went for his yearly check up we found some pre-cancerous lymph nobe's. We have complete faith in the LORD and our Doctor! He has told us to keep thing going on as is, and in nine months head back to the Mayo Clinic for more testings and maybe a small dosage of radiation. This is something that we have seen coming and all we can do is pray. Jeff is very confidant and OK with everything. He has now planned his yearly two week backpacking trip with his friends and a mini vacation for us. The LORD is good and he will provide for us. Our family and friends have been amazing! Thank you everyone who emailed me with kind words and prayers. I didn't email everyone back but please know that we are very thankful for you!

"Your love, oh LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountain, your justice like the great deep." Psalm 36:5-6
